The Grounded Events Company Ltd. is a small and passionate team, responsible for producing a number of successful, mass participation sporting events including Brighton Marathon Weekend and Ragnar Relay UK.

New for 2022, was the successful launch of Brighton Trail Weekend based in the beautiful South Downs National Park. The event offers a marathon, 10k and youth event as well as an Event Village at the finish, in the impressive Stanmer Park Estate.

Starting small, the Ragnar Relay Series has grown from a single relay in Utah, USA to the largest overnight relay series in U.S.A. We are proud to have been the organisers of this fantastic event for its launch in the UK. Grounded Events worked with the U.S team to launch the first UK road race 'Ragnar White Cliffs' in 2017 and subsequently delivered events in 2018 and 2019.

Grounded Events conceived, launched and continue to organise Brighton Marathon, which has established itself as a premier fixture on the UK’s sporting event calendar. It has grown from being just a marathon event to Brighton Marathon Weekend, attracting over 20,000 participants to the Brighton Marathon, BM10k, BM Ride and the Mini Mile Races. The event welcomes crowds of over 125,000 each year to the city's streets and the bespoke built Beach Village, making for an unbeatable atmosphere and unforgettable experience.

We have also worked on other projects including the UK launch of Electric Run in 2014, a 5k nighttime run, which hosted over 15,000 runners at Wembley Stadium for the inaugural event.

We pride ourselves on our innovation, collaboration, development and future-facing approach in all that we do.

We aim to inspire everyone to get outdoors, seek challenge, and improve their wellbeing, from the younger to the older generations.

From the beginning, we have worked to drive change towards a cleaner future, and continually strive to reduce our carbon footprint. From introducing water stand-pipes across Brighton Marathon Weekend routes in order to significantly reduce single-use plastics, to moving participant instructions online, we continue to develop and improve our sustainability policy.

Our long-term strategies also strive to support diversity and inclusion, ensuring everyone can enjoy outdoor sport for many years to come and help to change lives. Through our free youth events such as Run The World and the Mini Mile Races, we have been able to invite and include children to get involved and participate regardless of their socio-demographic background.
